Why an Independent Single Pool?

A stake pool ticker is not the same thing as an independent operator. ZEITGEIST runs ZEIT as a Single Pool and makes that structure part of the delegation decision.

THE BASIC IDEA

What does "Single Pool" mean?

In the context used here, a Single Pool Operator runs one Cardano stake pool rather than operating a group of pools under multiple tickers or numbered brands. It is an operator-structure distinction, not a guarantee of rewards or a quality badge by itself.

01

Independent operation

ZEIT is operated as one independent Cardano stake pool rather than as part of a ZEIT multi-pool group.

02

Stake distribution

Cardano uses delegated stake in its proof-of-stake system. Where holders delegate therefore influences how stake is distributed across pools and operators.

03

Look beyond a ticker

When comparing pools, consider operator structure alongside current fees, saturation, pledge, reliability and the pool's verifiable identity.

WHY IT MATTERS

Decentralization is about control, not just pool count.

A network can display many pool tickers while some of those pools are controlled by the same operator. Looking at independent operators adds another useful dimension when thinking about stake distribution.

DELEGATORS

Your choice is part of the system

Delegators can compare pools and move their delegation. That market of choices is one mechanism through which stake distribution changes over time.

NO SLOGANS

Single Pool is not the only criterion

Being independent does not automatically make a pool the right choice for everyone. Current parameters and operational performance still matter.

ZEITGEIST

ZEIT's position

ZEITGEIST has roots in Cardano's Incentivized Testnet era and continues with ZEIT as an independent Single Pool. Rather than asking you to take that positioning on faith, the site publishes the pool identity and current data so you can verify the pool yourself.
