Updated September 2026: Bodega is a Cardano prediction-market project. Instead of describing it as a betting playground, this guide explains what prediction markets do and where the risks sit.
What Is a Prediction Market?
A prediction market lets participants trade positions tied to the outcome of an event. Market prices can reflect the collective pricing of possible outcomes, but they are not guaranteed forecasts.
How Does Bodega Fit Cardano?
Bodega has used Cardano smart contracts and stable-value assets for on-chain prediction markets. Product versions, supported collateral and market-creation rules can change, so current details should be checked in the live application.
What Are the Risks?
Prediction markets can involve smart-contract risk, thin liquidity, ambiguous resolution criteria and regulatory restrictions depending on jurisdiction. A market price should not be treated as objective truth.
Not the Same as Investing or Staking
A prediction-market position is fundamentally different from native ADA delegation. Staking supports Cardano consensus; a prediction market is a speculative application.
